We often get asked about what conditions our podiatrist can treat. There are some that believe that a podiatrist can only treat toenails and calluses, or put pads on pains on bunions and hammertoes. While this may have been true a hundred years ago, modern podiatrists actually treat all conditions affecting the foot and the ankle. This is done through both medical and surgical means, depending on what is necessary. A brief list of what we treat includes:
Heel Pain, plantar pasciitis, and heel spurs
Achilles tendonitis and ruptures
Flat feet
High arches
Diabetic foot complications
Foot and ankle fractures
Ankle sprains
Ganglion cysts
Masses in the foot and ankle
Skin and bone infections
Children's foot pain and injuries
And of course, we still aslo treat toenail fungus, ingrown toenails, and painful corns and calluses!
