"Routine care is NOT routine"
We all are making difficult choices regarding what we consider "Essential." Grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and caring for loved ones are essential tasks. But what about "Regular Diabetic foot care?" In MY opinion, that IS essential. Diabetics, with or without neuropathy, are at high risk for infections and wounds. If not treated, these can lead to amputations. People are at higher risk now as when they are at home, they don't always wear shoes and check their feet. Calluses build up and become ulcers. The delay in care can have serious consequences. SO, keep your appointments, get your feet checked and cared for, and avoid bigger problems in the future.
