Mistle Toes or Miss Smell Toes?
Well, winter is here.  Does having your feet covered in wool socks and wearing insulated boots all day cause your feet to sweat and smell?  Some patients have a condition called hyperhidrosis where their feet over-perspire.  Bundling up in the winter can make this worse.  Fungus and bacteria love warm, moist, dark places and often times that odor is a fungus or bacteria.  Usually when treating this condition we will prescribe topical antifungal and/or antibiotics.  It is also important to use an antiperspirant to decrease and help eliminate the excess sweat.  If you are concerned about the above condition, give our experts at Indiana Podiatry Group a call!
