Children's feet and going back to school

Children's feet and going back to school

School is back in session and many kids are starting their sports related activities after school.  This means lots of running, jumping, and increased stress on their feet.  It is super important that they have good supportive tennis shoes to accommodate all of this stress.  A lot of children begin to experience foot pain due to this new surge in activity.  Make sure they are stretching properly prior to their activities.  If they begin to walk differently or have increased pain bring them to a podiatrist for further evaluation.  They may be a good candidate for a custom insert device to hep maintain the child's foot arch and to keep their feet straight when running.
